AUDITING & TCM COVER
We can offer a complete or focused assessment of your company’s compliance status, along with periodic auditing to keep you on track. We also can offer TCM Cover for your permit.
TCM (technically competent management) cover – also known as COTC or WAMITAB cover – is a legal requirement for permitted waste sites. It fulfils the need for each site to have a technically competent person on site for a minimum attendance time to ensure any environmental risks are managed properly.
The term that is used for the qualification will depend on when it was achieved. TCM is widely used by the Environment Agency now, but in the past it would have been WAMITAB. All qualifications carry the same weight and are acceptable for use on site.
We can advise you on your route to compliance, and also cover the site while and after you retain your permit, so that the qualification route does not need to be pursued.
